Disability Football

Disability Football or as we refer to as Ability Football

It goes back to 2005, through an initiative between the Kent FA with Paul Dolan acting as disability development officer and clubs which included Swanscombe Tigers FC. The idea was to provide regular competitive playing opportunities for young players with a disability.

So in the 2006-2007 season, the first junior league season started, which included Swanscombe Tigers FC Ability, amongst other early clubs that had been formed. The rest as they say is history now in our 19th season.

Now 19 years on, we are now one of over 50 small sided teams regularly taking part in the Kent Disability Football League making it the largest County Disability League in the country.

The Adults now have 6 divisions Premiership, Championship 1,2,3,4 & 5, of which we have 3 Adult squads.

Within the juniors we have representation in  U11's & U16 age groups and are always looking to grow this in all age bands Under 11's, Under 13's and Under 16's, with a great dedicated team of Coaches
